With music roots that branched deep from the family tree, Bo Cox was certain to explore his talents and plant his feet down into the Red Dirt to find his musical ground.   With a family full of musicians, it was easy to love every aspect of what music brought.  Memories of the family jam sessions and get togethers all sparked this Houston kid’s interest in playing his own music.  Bo started playing acoustic guitar at the age of 15.                               

Now living in San Marcos, Bo appreciates the challenge of being surrounded by talented singers and songwriters.  He uses the opportunity to get out and perform at local open mic jams when he’s not busy expanding his fan base playing in other Texas cities.   

It’s hard to pin a label on Bo’s style or songwriting.  It’s a smooth, yet jagged, mellow, but at the same time raw and unpolished country blues sound.   Listeners can relate to lyrics which have been carved out by his own life’s experiences. Bo Cox is an artist with two things running through his veins, Texas, and Music.
